Did I mention that the Monona Terrace is the perfect set up for the transition area? Did I mention that there were lots of spectators? No wonder I didn't take any photos.
It was good to see you out there! I really admire all the spectators for hanging in there through the rain...it sure made things a little less painful to see familiar faces (even if they were just familiar through the computer) :)
Yeah, it was cool (pun intended) to spectate. I'm sorry if I let you down by not having a beer in my hand - like I told you to visualize. However, it was too damn cold - even for beer.
Thanks for being out there. You were camped out on State Street right? I have tunnel vision during a race and it's hard to recognize people all bundled up.
If you had a cup of beer along the route, I would have gladly taken it. =)
I'm a runner at heart. I followed my dad out the door when I was 10 and have been at it ever since. My interests include whole-food, plant-based nutrition, health and wellness, x-c skiing and fat biking.

I stole it from Wil.

Alan, I was by the turn-around point till about 5 PM then I moved down to State Street around 5 PM.
I think coffee, tea or hot chocolate would have felt better than a cold beer.
