So he's being paced by three of the greatest runners in history. I'm sure I could run a lot of times I currently can't run if I had the pacing of a man who ran a half mile in 1:51.58 and followed it up with one in 1:51.55. This entire sideshow gets lamer and lamer. I hope Armstrong has to drop out.
The two are independent issues. No one denies, for example, that Dean Karnazes has done what he has done (and done it cleanly). The dispute, of course, is over shameless self-promotion, pretense and the perception of significance where there is none.
My prediction: much moaning and bitching and a 3:xx struggle to finish. His longest run was 16 miles 2 weeks ago?? Give me a break!
ReplyDeleteFunny, I just wrote a short bit on Lance tonight. I think I echo your feelings.
ReplyDeleteAre you freaking kidding me?
ReplyDeleteI'll overlook some of this because he's hot...
But that's still kinda pansy for Mr. Tour.

ReplyDeleteagreed, very lame. I want an all star cast to come out and pace me to a 3:15 ;)
ReplyDeletesheeesh...don't get me started about that guy.
ReplyDeleteI can see lance is dropping fast in the public opinion. Next thing someone will agree on him being juiced for the TdF ....
ReplyDeleteBetter shut up.

ReplyDeleteWow, I thought I was the only one who DIDN'T think Lance Armstrong was great. Glad to know there are others who share my opinion.
